Coach Vince Dooley Limited Edition Print on Display at the Hall of Fame
Posted: Oct 13, 2004
Coach Dooley was inducted to the Hall of Fame in 1994 and finished his 25-year coaching career at Georgia with a record of 201-77-10, 20 bowl games and the 1980 National Championship. Named the Bulldogs Athletics Director in 1979, Dooley continued to hold the position after finishing his coaching career in 1988. Dooley has been captured in a limited edition print entitled "Dooley Days - 40 Years at UGA", which is officially endorsed by the UGA Athletic Association. Modak’s work details some of Coach Dooley's most memorable and treasured moments at Georgia. Printing of the artwork is limited to 3,000 Regular Edition and 300 Artist's Proofs signed by Coach Dooley. Orders may be placed by visiting the web site www.kmodak.com or by calling Modak Illustrations at 770-887-9930 or 1-800-645-8165. All prints are hand signed by the artist and come with a Certificate of Authenticity and Identification Key. A portion of the proceeds from the print goes directly to the University of Georgia Athletic Association. Modak's work is unique. Using a process that involves working primarily with airbrush and color pencil technique, the artist feels his way, capturing likeness, as well as personality. His exceptional style actually sharpens detail and brings figures to life on paper. No stranger to Georgia football fans, Modak's better-known works include "2002 Bulldogs - SEC Champions", "The Run" - featuring Herschel Walker’s first collegiate touchdown, and "The Catch" - displaying Verron Haynes' 2001 winning catch against Tennessee. |
